Indonesia South Africa Webinar & Business Matching
Land of opportunity, Indonesia has an extensive water network with around 400 municipal water authorities. However, capacity is a challenge, and only 27% of the population currently has access to clean, piped water.
Piped water is the most effective solution for improving water access across Indonesia, costing about half a dollar per 1,000 liters—a highly affordable rate.
From upstream to downstream, Moya has been on a mission to increase water capacity since 2011, improving existing facilities, building new ones, and expanding pipe networks to help water authorities connect more households.
Our growth story is impressive. From just 1,000 liters per second in 2011, we’ve scaled up to managing over 32,000 liters per second of water treatment capacity, with more growth on the horizon.
Our latest project aims to achieve 100% piped water access in Jakarta. This involves constructing new treatment facilities and a 7,000-kilometer pipe network, valued at close to $2 billion.
Our expansion has been funded through a mix of borrowing and significant equity from our major Singapore-based shareholder, Tamaris Infrastructure.
